1. The first drive in world was a women named Bertha Benz

Bertha Benz was the wife of Karl Benz, who was the inventor of the automobile company Mercedes-Benz, she was the first person to drive a motor vehicle over a long distance.  Bertha’s parents actually gave Karl Benz the funding to build 3 prototypes of his motor wagon.  She had a mind of success, she knew if the company was going to be successful people would have to see it run on the streets.  So, she decided to take it out  see her mom who lives  60 miles away.

2. The fastest street legal production car in the world at the moment is the Hennessy Venom GT

The first thing that comes to people’s mind when they think about fast cars are pprobably Lamborghini, Ferrari, Bugatti… etc.  Hennessy  venom GT has the highest top speed but not the fastest acceleration.  It is an American Brand.  They are business partners with Lotus, well Hennessy uses the lotus body but they have their own engine.  This car has a V8 mid engine and it’s rear wheel drive with a 6 speed manual that is the same as a Ford GT.  Hennessy Venom GT’s are sold around one million dollars.

3. Not everyone can own a LaFerrari!

Ferrari is a famous Italian sports car brand that has been around for a long time now.  Recently Ferrari came out with the most power Ferrari ever, The Laferrari.  This is car that is powered by a 6.3 L V12 hybrid engine that produces around 949 HP.  There are only 499 of them and everyone of them are made to custom, so there are no two of the same Ferraris.  Each cost around two million dollars, and if you want to buy one you would have to sign up at the dealership, and there are requirements you have to meet to even be considered on the list out of thousands of people.  All of the Laferrari’s were sold before it even came out to the public.  You have to own at least 5 Ferraris and very loyal to the company and no conflict has ever happened between the buyer and the company.

  4. Lamborghini wasn’t always a sports car company

Lamborghini himself was a veteran who got back from the war and realized that farming business is going to be a big market because the war is over.  So he decided to start up his own tractor company.  He soon because a very rich man, he predicted the future and made lots of money from it.  After he got rich he started collecting cars like Mercedes, Ferraris.. etc.  He had a Ferrari 250 GTO TDF, which is now the most expensive car on the market.  He was driving it one day and he realized that the clutch isn’t as good as he thought it would be so he went to Ferrari to ask them to see what was wrong but they refused to, so as a car mechanic and owner of the tractor company he rebuilt the clutch and then realized he could build a better engine than Ferrari too, so he that what he did built his own first ever V12 and that’s how Lamborghini was founded.

5. Volkswagen is bigger than you think

Volkswagen is a German car company that produces hatchbacks sedans and SUV’s.  Volkswagen owns about six other automobile companies: Bentley, Porsche, Lamborghini, Bugatti, Audi, Ducati.  All of these companies are under Volkswagen but they are still allowed to come out with their own designs, but a design is sharable between all these companies so sometimes car companies that’s owned by Volkswagen might seem similar or have similar bodies.
